Purpose of the job:

Protect the facility or area.

Responsibilities:

  • When taking over the guard post, check the security, alarm, and fire systems, fire equipment, property, documents and everything required with the previous duty officer. Report everything to the shift senior.
  • Perform the service energetically and attentively to be competent.
  • Be responsible for protecting the facility and managing access control.
  • Perform your duties carefully, protect the facility and its resources, monitor people entering and leaving, check their documents, register everything, and report to the shift senior.
  • Be able to use the firefighting and technical equipment available at the security site.
  • If you see someone acting suspiciously, report it to your shift senior right away and take steps to keep them out of the area. Follow legal procedures to stop them from causing trouble.
  • As soon as you getting a security alert, tell your shift senior and deal with the issue right away without leaving your post.
  • Follow the orders of your shift senior or the facility manager regarding security.
  • Be disciplined during the service, and maintain the rules of hygiene and cleanliness at the place of service.
  • Undergo mandatory training at least every three years.

The Security Guard is also obliged to:

  • Based on the nature of the harassment, strive to minimize the harm caused to the person who committed the harassment.
  • If necessary, immediately provide first aid by reporting to the shift senior.
  • In case of bodily injury or death caused to a person by the use of physical force, special means, or firearms, immediately inform the shift senior.
  • Be guided by the RA Law “On Private Security Guard Activity”, bearing the rights and responsibilities arising from it.
  • Fulfill the requirements of the Regulations of officials providing services by “SÄPPO SECURITY” LLC, the requirements defined by the employment contract, and other duties.
  • While performing his duties, the Security Guard has the right to use physical force, weapons, special or technical equipment only in the conditions of necessary protection and extreme necessity, as well as when neutralizing the person who committed the harassment, in the cases and in the order provided by the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On Private Security Guard Activity”.
  • The use of physical force, special means, or firearms by the Security Guard in cases not provided by the law or when crossing the borders holds them accountable by the law.

Skills:

  • Discipline, vigilance, attention;
  • High sense of responsibility;
  • Ability to quickly orientate;
  • Ability to effectively manage time and work resources;
  • Knowledge of any foreign language.

Qualifications:

  • At least secondary education;
  • Presence of Security Guard’s qualification certificate.
